Mid-Columbia Ballet presents The Nutcracker

About the Performance:  

Mid-Columbia Ballet presents the 43rd annual performance of The Nutcracker, December 7, 8, & 9, 2018 at The Richland High School Auditorium. This beloved family tradition features: 178 cast members; choreography by Artistic Director Debra Pearse Rogo; and guest artists Seo Hye Han and Irlan Silva of Boston Ballet as well as Kaitlin Frankenfield and Joshua Burnham of Manassas Ballet Theatre.  


Sweet Treats is a pre-show event on Saturday December 8th, 2018 from 11:30am-12:15pm. Guests who purchase the $10 ticket* have VIP access to cast autographs, photos with your favorite characters, exclusive access to Nutcracker merchandise, a special sweet treat, and a reading of The Nutcracker story. Tickets are limited to 75 guests. see information above for purchase locations. *Please note: one ticket per person (children and adults). Performance Perspectives is held in the Richland High School Auditorium prior to each evening performance at 6:30pm. This live presentation uncovers the history behind the creation of this iconic ballet that debuted in 1892 and its evolution from flop to fame. There is no additional cost for this event 


Sensory Friendly Performance of The Nutcracker Suite December 9th, 2018 at 4pm 

On December 9th, 2018 at 4pm the second Sensory Friendly Performance of The Nutcracker Suite will be performed by Mid-Columbia Ballet for children with special needs and their families. The 75-minute version will be performed with the music a little lower, the lights a little higher, and with a welcoming atmosphere that allows children to enjoy the performance in their own way. Unique features of this event include a Break Area in the lobby for children who need a sensory break and a Pre-Visit Story provided to all families one week prior to the performance.  There is no cost for the performance but registration is required via the following form: https://goo.gl/forms/hlLhuJL6a9piVUA53
