The Miss VisitTRI-CITIES.com Unlimited Hydroplane to Race during Water Follies Weekend

Tri-Cities, Wash.– The Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau, in conjunction with the Tri-City Water Follies, is sponsoring a hydroplane boat during the 46th Annual Columbia Cup Hydroplane Races. The boat owned by Jones Racing out of Seattle and piloted by Jon Zimmerman, will be known as the U-9 Miss VisitTRI-CITIES.com, named after the TCVCB managed website which attracts thousands of visitors interested in the Tri-Cities each year.

Tri-Cities Plays Host to another Large Sports Tournament for the Second Consecutive Weekend

Tri-Cities, Wash –The Tri-Cities hits another homerun for the month of June as the National Softball Association State Championship gets underway this Friday, June 24. Nearly 4,500 players, coaches, and spectators will be visiting the Tri-Cities this upcoming weekend and will spend an estimated $1,282,500 in the local economy. Fields and facilities in Pasco, Kennewick, and Richland will be used by 130 different teams, whose players vary in age from 10-18 years old.

Triple Crown Sports-Father's Day Slugfest

Tri-Cities, Wash –The Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau welcomes Triple Crown Sports’ Father’s Day Slugfest to the area, June 17-19, 2011. The tournament will attract 3,800 players, coaches and spectators from all over the Northwest and from as far away as Montana to participate in this event throughout the weekend. Due to its large size, the baseball tournament will use sports complexes and hotels in Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, and surrounding communities and will generate an estimated $1,077,300 in direct visitor spending in the Tri-Cities.
