The Tri-Cities Visitor & Convention Bureau's media outreach department works closely with travel writers and editors to produce quality stories highlighting the many offerings of the region including wine country, great golf, the Hanford Reach National Monument, wildlife watching, water sports, and so much more.
These efforts have resulted in a number of features on the Tri-Cities, showcasing our region as a premier destination for leisure travel, conventions and sports tournaments, not to mention relocation.
Manhattan Project National Historic Park

Today, July 13, 2011, marks a major milestone for the Atomic Heritage Foundation and all those who have been working to preserve the history of the Manhattan Project. This morning Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar recommended to Congress the designation of a Manhattan Project National Historical Park. The new park will have units at the three major Manhattan Project sites: Los Alamos, NM, Oak Ridge, TN, and Hanford, WA.
