Jill Cohn is a Seattle-based singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist. Raised in a small town in the Tri-Cities, Jill has been a full-time musician since 1996. She has released six critically-acclaimed independent releases and tours extensively. The singer was a national finalist in Jewel's Soul City Café contest. In addition, she was also picked as an opener for the Girls Room tour, was a top-five finalist in the Lilith Fair Talent Search and has opened concerts for many national artists, including; Jewel, Stacy Earl, Loudon Wainwright III, and Dave Matthews.
When Barnaby Folcey is murdered at a family gathering at Marlgate Manor, it transpires that he had a motive to murder everybody else but no one had a reason to want him dead. While dying, he scrawled the letters b a r which can implicate everyone. While the bizarre group frantically tries to unmask the murderer, people vanish, poison is found in the sherry and the police take forever to arrive. Meanwhile, there's a secret treasure to be found, a mystifying limerick to decode and all sorts of doom to be avoided before the killer is finally unmasked.

More than 40 works of art by 25 regional artists are on on display through May 7 in the Chancellor’s Art Exhibition Series at Washington State University Tri-Cities. This is a semi-annual juried exhibition series designed to showcase the remarkable art of the Columbia Valley. The selected works represent extreme artistic diversity in terms of media, style and content: ceramics, glass, metal, photography, painting, collage, sculpture, representative, non-representative, abstract expressionist, minimalist, and impressionist. The 44 pieces are in the East Building administration corridor, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. The opening reception is 5 p.m. Feb. 10.

LIGO has drop-in tours for the public on the second Saturday of every month. No reservations or ID checks needed, international visitors are welcome, all ages are welcome, admission is free and there is no such thing as a dumb question about LIGO.

Leprechaun Dash begins at 9:30 a.m. The Leprechaun Dash is a one-mile fun run for elementary and middle school students that is held on a closed portion of Columbia Park Trail. Finisher ribbons will be awarded to all children who finish the run. The fun run starts and finishes near R.F. McDougall's in Columbia Center North. This run is for elementary and middle school students, only. There is NO CHARGE to children to run the Dash...our way of helping kids have some fun and fitness at the same time. We do need all runners to register and parents to sign the entry form for their children. We have a safe, controlled course with the park road being closed for the duration of the race, so parents can let the kids run and wait for them at the finish. This run is for the kids. Parents, if you absolutely, positively must run with your kids, please run with them unofficially (do not register yourself) and start out at the back of the pack. Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles' marriage to his second wife, Ruth. CHARACTERS: CHARLES CONDOMINE: In his forties, Charles is an intelligent and urbane English novelist. Charles is the husband of Ruth Condomine and deceased first wife, Elvira. RUTH CONDOMINE: A smart looking woman in her mid-thirties, Ruth is the wife of Charles. She is a bit jealous of Charles's relationship with his first wife. DR. BRADMAN: A pleasant-looking middle-aged man, Dr. Bradman is a friend of the Condomines. MRS. BRADMAN: The wife of Dr. Bradman, Mrs. Bradman is middle-aged and a bit faded. MADAME ARCATI: A middle-aged spiritualist, Madame Arcati is a striking woman. A presentation by Joan Wolfberg Hosted by Franklin County Historical Society/Soroptimist International of Pasco-Kennewick For more than 30 years, Eleanor Roosevelt was the most powerful woman in America. She comes to life before your very eyes when Joan Wolfberg takes you on an amazing journey, from Eleanor's shy, awkward childhood, to life as the First Lady, and later to the United Nations. Along the way you'll learn about her belief in the equality of women, civil rights, human rights, politics, and freedom. Joan Wolfberg is a Chautauqua scholar and professional actress formerly with the New Mexico and Florida Humanities Councils. Robert W. Richardson lives with a song in his lips and music in his heart. When he died, at 77 on Sept. 2, 1990, his love of music continued living. Richardson, a Tri-Citian almost of his youthful and adult life, enabled this love to continue for future generations of musicians who graduate from Tri-city area high schools by offering a scholarship in his name. This Recital is the final phase of a three step process designed to select the top three candidates to receive the Robert Richardson Scholarship. The Ribbon River Run is 5K or 1 mile Run/Walk in support of the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation. Participants will get a blank ribbon outline t-shirt and are encouraged to decorate it in the awareness color of a type of cancer that has meaning for them.

Violin virtuoso and composer Kim Angelis is often described as "transforming herself from a soft-spoken, modest person into a wild creature of the violin with flying skirts and hair, a few broken bowstrings and stomping heels." You may have heard Kim's gypsy-inspired music on network TV, PBS, NPR, or during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, during a championship gymnastics routine. When Kim is not touring, she lives in Astoria, Oregon.
To usher in spring, the symphony applies a palette of bold, musical color with Pictures at an Exhibition by Modeste Mussorgsky. This concert also brushes the wide canvas of talented, young players with its 50th anniversary presentation of the Mid-Columbia Symphony's Young artist competition winners. It is a 3/4 Mile Walk around John Dam Plaza and is open to all citizens of Benton Franklin Counties who want to "Show their Respect" for people with Disabilities living in our community. More than 40 works of art by 25 regional artists are on on display through May 7 in the Chancellor’s Art Exhibition Series at Washington State University Tri-Cities. This is a semi-annual juried exhibition series designed to showcase the remarkable art of the Columbia Valley. The selected works represent extreme artistic diversity in terms of media, style and content: ceramics, glass, metal, photography, painting, collage, sculpture, representative, non-representative, abstract expressionist, minimalist, and impressionist. The 44 pieces are in the East Building administration corridor, open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. The opening reception is 5 p.m. Feb. 10.

A panel of representatives from regional police departments, sheriff offices and the Washington State Patrol will talk about how a university degree helps on the job. Sacagewea Heritage Trail Bird Walk with Kathy Criddle ~Audubon Society. For Earth Month we will do a special bird walk along the Sacagawea Heritage Trail in the Port of Pasco Industrial Park, east of the Cable Bridge, to introduce birding opportunities in Pasco. We will park in the Osprey Point parking lot on SE Road 20 E, just off Dock St in the Port of Pasco area. The walk will start at 8:30 a.m. This easy one mile walk will be great for beginning birders and those who need handicap access. The pathway is paved and follows a grove of trees along the Columbia River Shore. For those wanting a more rugged walk following the bird walk, you can head east on the paved trail from Osprey Point and walk all the way to the Sacagawea State Park. Information on that part of the trail and bird sighting possibilities will be available after the initial bird walk.

The 27th Annual Quilt Show and Merchant Mall,“Smell the Roses…Quilt Your Dreams”, will be on Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27, 2010. The hours will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a $5.00 donation at the door, food and beverage bar, and free parking. The National Featured Artist is McKenna Ryan. The guild’s Member Featured Artist is Barb Sherrill. The show will feature 400 quilts, raffle quilt, merchant mall (35 vendors), demonstrations, Guild Challenge quilts, door prizes, silent auction, Hoffman Challenge, antique sewing machines, Joyce Larsen (on-site quilt appraiser) and the “Cups for Cancer” exhibit (unusual/whimsical display of unique “bras”).
