If you are looking for clean, wholesome harvest fun... then we're the farm for you! With two venues- our Berry Farm Park, and our Fall Park- we have a variety of activities that all ages will enjoy.

Last years move of everyone's favorite activity, Squeeze-Your-Own Apple Cider, was a huge hit and everyone really enjoyed the larger layout. Spend some time treasure hunting in the pumpkin patch for that perfect carving pumpkin, decorative gourds, and a huge variety of winter squash and unique pumpkins. Sit around the campfire and enjoy a caramel apple or a hot dog while the kids get lost in our Barnyard Mystery Corn Maze. Younger ones will enjoy climbing on the straw pile, and exploring our kiddie maze, while older kids (and dads too!) love taking aim with our apple sling shots... make it through the donut hole and win a dozen free donuts!

The scariest stories are in the mind.

Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the novel by Henry James. In 1872 a governess is sent to a mansion to care for two recently orphaned children. She soon discovers that all is not as it seems and battles to maintain her sanity as she battles the ghosts of the former governess and valet for the souls of the children.

Two actors tell the story in a spare setting, creating images in the mind of the audience and bringing the classic ghost story to life.

Detailed Info >>

Coming soon to a tree near you!
Now is the time to start gearing up for a new rivershore art project that culminates in the fall with a month-long exhibit. "Sweater Weather: Fashion for the Urban Forest" is a public project sponsored by Richland Parks and Recreation to create colorful art pieces along the rivershore and increase conversation, community pride, and walkability in Richland.

If you like to knit or want to learn how, enjoy the diversity that art and trees brings to a community, or simply like to stroll along the shoreline, this project is for you! Even if your knitting days are over and you have unneeded yarn lying around, you can participate by donating it for use.

The project encourages individuals and groups to knit or crochet a sweater or wrap for a tree in Howard Amon, or Leslie Groves Park. Participants can choose a specific tree now, or preselect a certain diameter, but choose the actual tree on the day of the event. Sweaters will be hung during a community celebration on Saturday, October 4 and remain in place through Saturday, November 1.

Yarn donations are being accepted at the Richland Community Center and the Richland Public Library.

Apple & Pumpkin Festival
Saturdays September 20th and 27th, 9am-5pm AND the FIRST FOUR Fridays and Saturdays in October, 9am-5pm *Closed on Halloween!*

What is fall without a trip to the farm with your family, friends or small group to enjoy the bounty of the harvest? If you are looking for clean, wholesome harvest fun... then we're the farm for you! With two venues- our Berry Farm Park, and our Fall Park- we have a variety of activities that all ages will enjoy.

Last years move of everyone's favorite activity, Squeeze-Your-Own Apple Cider, was a huge hit and everyone really enjoyed the larger layout. Make it the first stop on your day of farm fun, but don't forget to leave time for the many other activities available in the Fall Park. Everyone also loves an adventure in the orchard to pick crisp, yummy, fresh off the tree apples.

Hungry after all that hard work? Hop the FREE hayride shuttle over the Berry Park. This is the place to enjoy one (or a dozen!) of our famous fresh made donuts hot off the line, or stop at the BBQ for hamburgers, hot dogs, and warm chili. Hang out in at the picnic tables in the park while the kiddos play on our two big playgrounds, or browse through our 'store' displays and get some fun and easy fall decorating ideas, find some fun pumpkins and gourds to take home, or purchase already picked apples. Make sure you save time to visit the petting zoo, and ride the ponies before you head home!

1991 has been dubbed “The Year That Grunge Broke” and while the rest of the world raged on with power chords and grimy hooks, the Tri-Cities staged its own musical revolution with such awesome bands like Diddly Squat, Small, One Eye Open, Loudermilk, and The Ladybird Unition. These were just a few of the great bands that exploded the music scene of the Tri-Cities in the early 90s and left their indelible mark on the musical map. Hundreds of concerts, thousands of cds sold, and countless memories were created in such places like The Hoedown Center, Skate West, and The Kennewick Fairgrounds. Northwest favorites such as, Black Happy, Hammerbox (featuring the Tri-Cities own Carrie Akre), and punk rock pioneers Fugazi all paid visits to the Tri-Cities and helped shape the thriving scene. As the years have clicked by, the strength of the music and energy have left a lasting impression. That’s why on Friday October 10th and Saturday Oct. 11th we’ve put together a couple of concerts celebrating some of that rich history of the Tri-Cities music scene; exploring the timeframe in the '90s ('90 - '99) when the scene really broke open. This year our goal is to raise $35,000. This money will be used for a quarter mile and half mile path on the school campus located at 27th Avenue in Kennewick.
This year's event is being held at Howard Amon Park on October 11th. A 1 mile fun run and 5K/10K race will take place on the wide walking trail that runs through the park along the Columbia River. All races will be chip timed. The overall first place male and female in the 10K will be awarded with a $100 Runners Soul gift certificate. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female finishers in each race. First place age group prizes will be awarded in the 5K and 10K races. Never ran a 5K before?

Art can wake us up from the dream we normally live in. Art can shock us into the present moment. When we fully immerse ourselves in a creative project we activate a different part of our brain. We tune out the left brain (the logical, rational side) and allow the right brain (the artist within) to shine through. Join watercolor artist and teacher, Chris Blevins, for an evening of mindfulness through art. Once class begins, we’ll settle into quiet. You’ll be encouraged to pay attention to your respective projects and just let it flow. At first this may seem like work, but after a few minutes of actually paying attention—to the texture of the paper, the feel of the brush in hand, the smells, the sounds---something may shift. The room may fall away and it will be just you and your paintbrush. You may lose track of time and your surroundings. The time may fly by and there may be no thoughts apart from what’s happening in the present…an exercise in mindfulness. No art or painting experience necessary. Really. :-) All art supplies provided. From a recent attendee: "It is a place to be free of the world for awhile. And you get to take home a beautiful creation."

The brainchild of music students at Reed College, Part of the Kollektiv is more concerned with substance than style. In a single set you can hear elements of jazz fusion, bluegrass, EDM, hardcore punk, funk, country, and classic rock and roll, but the band refuses to put themselves in any of these boxes. Instead they have faith in the danceability of their diverse sound and the support of their expanding and loving musical community to push their career forward. With a penchant for improvisation, the band has already laid the foundation of a loyal following who come back for show after show, who know that each set will be unique, and who hope to catch a glimpse of one of the truly inspired improvisatory moments that keep the band devoted to the music. Carrying the torch of legendary American live acts like the Grateful Dead, Phish, and the Disco Biscuits, part of the kollektiv hopes to bring heat to Northwest dance floors for years to come.
