White Bluffs Quilt Museum

The bus tour will begin in Richland and travel to Dayton, to view the Patit Creek Campsite, a life size encampment in steel silhouette sculptures. While in Dayton, we will tour the Palus Artifact Museum. The bus will then take us to Fort Walla Walla, for a guided museum tour. Everyone is on their own for lunch. Next we travel to the Whitman Museum for a site tour and movie.

Beautiful and transient, clouds are one of the most dynamic and complex elements of the atmosphere. Their formation and lifetime depend on processes that happen at the microscopic and global level and everything in between. The U.S. Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement user facility makes measurements to better understand those complex processes. This talk will describe what we are learning about clouds and how that knowledge will help us improve weather and climate predictions.
