The 15th Annual Tri-Cities International Film Festival (TRIFI) will show independent films from around the world to Tri-Cities film lovers on October 13-15, 2023.

Films to be shown during the 15th Annual TRIFI include Academy Award-winning shorts and features in the comedy, drama, animation, scifi and Fantasy, fan fiction, documentary and horror film genres.

TRIFI also sponsors a 72 hour Film Challenge. This event Challenges local filmmakers and students to write, shoot and edit a short film within 72 hours. Winning films are shown during festival and prizes are awarded.

TRIFI is advertised throughout the Mid-Columbia, including Walla Walla and the Yakima Valley. Out-of-town visitors stay in local hotels, dine in local restaurants and shop in local stores.

TRIFI was born when the Columbia Basin Video Festival and the RadCon Fan Film Festival combined in 2008 to become the Tri-Cities International Fantastic Film Festival (TCIF3). In 2015 we changed our name to TRIFI with the goal of increasing exposure and growing the film festival to reach more people throughout the Columbia Basin and beyond.

As part of our annual event, TRIFI provides technical outreach to local schools. Hundreds of students have been exposed to the tools and techniques used to make Hollywood style films.
