Christmas in a town where Santa needs a security badge can be a challenge, but we all know Santa is good at keeping secrets. And he can find you anywhere, even in a secret city or a construction camp where your address is a post office box shared by lots of other people! Presents fit quite nicely under a sagebrush “tree” decorated with popcorn and tinsel. Hear tales of those who were home at Hanford for the holidays during World War II and picture yourself dancing to the tunes of a big band, feasting in a mess hall, or recreating a bit of home in the cold and dusty desert.

Terri Andre has been a museum educator with the New York State Museum and the former CREHST Museum. She is currently a volunteer with the B Reactor Museum Association. Her passion has been creating programs and events that bring history to life through the eyes of the participants. In this program, the other panel members will be representing both government and private organizations that played a pivotal role in the formation of the National Park.
