Green Bridge

Connecting the West

The historic Green Bridge, which connected the communities of Pasco and Kennewick, served as a crucial piece of infrastructure for travelers to access the western United States. Replacing an aging and inefficient ferry system, it was one of the last major projects that connected the trails from the East Coast to the West Coast in the Pacific Northwest. It was replaced in 1978 by the Hed Hendler Bridge, locally known as the "Cable Bridge".
