Richland Parks and Recreation Present a ReVamped Fall Carnival
Richland Parks and Recreation with the help of HAPO Community Credit Union are proud to present a week-long re-Vamped Fall Carnival. The week of October 26 through the 30 brings free, drive-up “Scary in a Sack” give-a-ways, pumpkin carving and pet costume contests, Spooktacular science experiments, and “scary” children’s stories, all virtually. There will also be plenty of opportunities to win prizes. The festivities will draw to a close on Friday, with a double matinee of Halloween classics playing on an outdoor screen for only $5 per movie (includes a bag of kettle corn), per carload.
Beginning Monday, October 19, Richland residents will have the opportunity to reserve a “Scary in a Sack” Halloween starter-pack for their family. Reservations will open for non-Richland residents the following day. There are 1,000 “Scary in a Sacks” to give away. Each sack includes two pumpkins, a decorating kit, treats, and a children’s book donated by the Reading Foundation. To help control traffic, the sacks will be distributed to each vehicle at the day and time frame they have registered for.
