Eco-Friendly Artistry Meets Holiday Shopping: Desert Fiber Arts Hosts Annual Fall Market November 6–7
RICHLAND, WA — Come discover one-of-a-kind treasures and sustainable art at the Desert Fiber Arts Guild Annual Fall Market, returning Friday, November 6 (10 AM – 6 PM) and Saturday, November 7 (10 AM – 4 PM). The popular community event will be at Central Church, 1124 Stevens Drive in Richland.
This year’s market features over 1,400 unique, hand-crafted items ranging from $5 to over $500. Shoppers can browse a stunning selection of beautiful wearables, home décor, and holiday gifts while meeting the local artists that made them!
A star attraction this fall is the eco-progressive showcase, "Reuse, Repurpose, Recreate." Just follow the green tags around the room to discover incredible, high-quality items created from cleverly rescued and up-cycled fiber materials.
There is plenty to see, do, and win during the event:
- Live Demos & Textile Talks: Watch expert fiber arts demonstrations and attend engaging textile talks.
- Hands-on Classes: Try your hand at the craft with beginner spinning and needle-felting classes (including a festive Santa Gnome workshop).
- Exciting Giveaways: Enter to win curated gift baskets or purchase tickets for the heirloom afghan raffle, featuring a custom-designed, hand-knit piece celebrating America's 250th anniversary year.
Class registration is open now at desertfiberarts.org.
Proceeds from the Fall Market serve as the annual fundraiser for the non-profit which has been connecting and educating local creators since 1974 with the motto, “Each one, teach one” through monthly socials, special interest groups, and classes from their studio on Union Street in Kennewick.
Discover the lure of handmade art! For more details on the market, class registration, or how to join the guild, visit www.DesertFiberArts.org or follow the guild on Facebook and Instagram.
